Concrete & Geotechnical Engineering (CGE) is an independent consultancy providing specialist advice across concrete technology, aggregates and geotechnical engineering.
Founded by Glenn Carson and Matthew Carson, CGE combines decades of practical industry experience with independent technical expertise to help clients improve concrete performance, reduce production risk and optimise material efficiency.
Glenn has spent more than 30 years working across Australia's concrete industry in senior technical and leadership roles, supporting major ready-mix producers, infrastructure projects and complex construction applications. His expertise spans concrete mix design, batching operations, cementitious optimisation, production control, Australian Standards and technical troubleshooting.
Matthew brings extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, materials assessment and project delivery, providing practical engineering solutions across civil construction, ground engineering and material performance. His expertise complements CGE's concrete capability, allowing the business to deliver integrated advice across the complete construction materials lifecycle.
Together, Glenn and Matthew provide independent technical advice that is based on engineering principles, production data and practical field experience—not supplier agendas or product sales.
